Ford Trucks presented a plaque to Arkas Logistics and gave a tour to the company managers in which they had the chance to closely see Ford Otosan’s R&D functions and plants that have been in place since 1960. The managers were also provided with important information about the IToY award-winning F-MAX’s development process which took five years to complete.
Gocmez: “F-MAX offers us a substantial productivity boost and cost saving in our operations”
Arkas Logistics CEO Onur Gocmez stated that they are happy to have enriched their fleet with Ford Trucks vehicles which are entirely developed by Turkish engineers and produced in Turkey, and continued:
“In recent months we entered into an extensive collaboration with Ford Trucks for the order of 55 IToY award-winning F-MAXs in an attempt to expand the range of our fleet and increase its efficiency. We had received a partial delivery of the order and started to use that party in our operations, and now the whole delivery has been completed. And today, on this very occasion, we had the opportunity to learn about the development process of F-MAX – a vehicle that makes us very pleased in terms of both its performance and fuel consumption, as well as its technological installation and ownership cost. F-MAX offers us a substantial productivity boost and cost saving in our logistics operations, adding even more strength to our already existing power. We continue to be the driving force behind the logistics industry, put our mark under big transport projects and add value to our economy with our self-owned land fleet, expert business partners, and employees.”
Hosgoren: “We appreciate their trust in Ford Trucks and F-MAX”
Ford Trucks Turkey Director Burak Hosgoren, on the other hand, said the following: “We are very happy that Arkas Logistics, a long established company of the logistics industry, entered into a collaboration with us and that they chose to use our international award-winning F-MAX. Arkas Logistics and our company were already in a collaboration that goes back many years. And this F-MAX collaboration added yet another new chapter in the story of our joint efforts. We believe that F-MAX will be offering big advantages to Arkas Logistics in the upcoming period. We thank a lot for their trust in us and our brand. I hope that these new F-MAXs will bring luck and success and that our collaboration will continue for years to come.”
The vehicles in the land fleet of Arkas Logistics make 25 million kilometres a year on average, and the company owns about 500 tow trucks of which 20% consists of Ford Trucks-branded vehicles.
