58 Piri Reis graduates were given a warm farewell into their new lives.
Two ceremonies were held for the 2018-2019 Piri Reis graduates at the Guzelbahce and Karsiyaka campuses. Participating in the ceremony were Lucien Arkas, OREV Chairman, Neslihan Arul Aksoy, OREV Chairman of Trustees Board, Selim Bonfil, OREV Board Member, and Jacques Augereau, Izmir Private Saint Joseph French High School Director and Private Piri Reis Schools Coordinator, as well as relatives of the graduating students.
We provide high quality education
Jacques Augereau, Izmir Private Saint Joseph French High School Director and Private Piri Reis Schools Coordinator, expressed the opinion that it is more difficult and requires more effort than ever to become successful, and that he is very glad to see the positive outcomes from these students’ efforts. Augereau went on “The natural bond between Piri Reis and Saint Joseph is much stronger and more connected today, and it is very well known by many people. Every year, 25% of the new students at Saint Joseph are from Piri Reis, 25% are from other schools in Izmir and 50% are from many of the other cities in Turkey. This indicates the academic success of our schools. We take it beyond French; we provide quality training and we raise remarkable individuals. We are leading this race for the highest quality of education, and we will continue to win”.
We are a team
Emphasizing that Piri Reis and Saint Joseph are one team and that they have been working on the Lasallien education model for four years, Augereau went on “All three schools have been Label Franc’education-certified, as well as having been granted Label de L’UNESCO thanks to co-operating projects. Our students have been taking part in international projects. The only way to success is to be a part of an integrated and united team. We want to keep winning and for this reason, we will continue to prefer team players in the same way that marks success in national sports teams. We are not interested in individual success and this is exactly what gives our organization its meaning”.
The ceremony continued with Lucien Arkas, Neslihan Arul Aksoy and Selim Bonfil presenting the graduating students their diplomas, with students throwing their caps into the air followed by the cutting of the cake.
