Arkas Logistics guides the new generation in their career development with its initiative called “Training Programme for Young Talents.” During this 12-month programme, young people who are looking for a career in the logistics sector will attend a career development plan specifically designed for them. Those deemed successful at the end of the programme will get the chance to make a career at Arkas Logistics.
Arkas Logistics started a new programme to enrich its team with a talented and efficient human resource.
Young people who graduated from universities’ departments of international trade, logistics management, business administration, or logistics to pursue a career in the logistics sector get the chance to begin their career at Arkas Logistics thanks to the “Training Programme for Young Talents.”
As part of the programme, a total of 29 “Young Talents” in two different groups took their first steps into the world of business at our offices in Istanbul, Izmir, and Mersin.
In the first group, young talents who apply for the programme via the advertisements posted in university Career Centres are first called for an interview with HR. If they successfully pass the interview, they are then given English and General Skills tests, as well as a Personality Inventory. Candidates who are found successful in both steps are taken for group interviews with the members of the Young Talent Committee created at Arkas Logistics. Finally, candidates are interviewed by the top management before they start an on-the-job training programme in the job units selected for them. At the end of this programme, candidates are evaluated in terms of their performance, adaptation to the company culture, and personal competencies. They obtain the chance to pursue a career in the relevant units at Arkas Logistics. In this context, 12 “Young Talents” who completed the process successfully began the program in April. Those who achieve success at the end of the programme will fill vacant positions to start their real jobs.
In the second group, on the other hand, target universities and departments should be determined after the units to be included in the programme are designated. Following the completion of necessary interviews and tests by applying students, successful ones start the programme after interviews with managers of the related units. 17 “Young Talents” who completed the process in this group started the programme in June and July. These students who come from different academic branches continue the training processes consisting of individual on-the-job training programs and internal training sessions.
